Diagnostic Services

Braefel Garage offers a full vehicle diagnostic capability using the very latest Snapon Diagnostic Equipment. We can carry out basic diagnostics and then recommend a course of action from the basic diagnostics.

What it covers:	A basic code scan of all systems on the vehicle without any repairs just to provide a report.
Minimum time:	Around 15 mins.
Cost:	£25.00+ VAT = £30.00

What it covers:	A full code scan and report plus the first hour of full diagnostics.
Minimum time:	From 15 mins onwards, the charge is for the first hour and then charged hourly after that.
Cost:	£60.00+ VAT = £72.00 first hour then £60.00+ VAT /hour after that charged at 15 min intervals.

What it covers:	Resetting the codes following a scan (when we haven’t done further diagnostics/repairs)
Minimum time:	15 mins
Cost:	£15.00+ VAT = £18.00

What it covers:	Reset the service light when not performed as part of service i.e. on spec.
Minimum time:	15 mins
Cost:	£15.00+ VAT = £18.00

What it covers:	A check/reset on all tyre pressures and then carry out a reset of the vehicle system. This only covers adjustment resets, not faults.
Minimum time:	15-30 mins
Cost:	£15.00 + VAT = £18.00

What it covers:	To carry out ad-hoc emissions tests to MOT standards on petrol and diesel engines.
Minimum time:	15-30 mins
Cost:	£20.00 + VAT = £24.00

What it covers:	To carry out a rolling road brake test and produce a printed report.
Minimum time:	15 mins
Cost:	£15.00+ VAT = £18.00

What it covers:	Carry out testing of the cooling system under pressure
Minimum time:	30 mins
Cost:	£30.00+ VAT = £36.00

What it covers:	Blanking off the induction/exhaust system and charging with pressurised smoke – to check for leaks with a UV lamp
Minimum time:	60-90 mins
Cost:	£60.00 + VAT = £72.oo for the first hour after that charged at 15 min intervals. Time dependant.
